Done.
2:41:25 112th place overall.
I never seemed to get in a good rhythm out there today and then I slowed down. Not exactly the recipe for a PR. I think I need a night to sleep on this one to see if there is a positive spin I can put on it.
A Runner in his early 30's seeing how good he can be.

I know you wanted and expected better, but I'm also certain you gave it your best effort out there. I'm sorry it didn't pan out this time, but sometimes a few small valleys appear between the peaks (how they still manage to appear in spite of great training can be a mystery). That said, the training and the experience will most certainly make you even stronger for the next one, and I always enjoy reading about your training.
Judging by your training, your ever-improving race times and your age, you are very much on the way up, and your 2:36 will eventually look like that 2:48 you ran years ago.
Ugh. I was excited for you and Dave.
Sorry it didn't unfold as you intended. But like Mike says above, you have lots of good things bundled up in your training from this summer.
You'll soon look back at this as good experience.
Having had a bad marathon myself last month, i've got a good idea how you may feel right now!
you were most probably just on a bad day!
Judging how well you were going in training, you can be sure when every thing goes right for you, you will run an awesome marathon!
ARE YOU RUNNING SUNDAY????
