Week in Review
Not feeling too descriptive today so just the facts. 101 miles last week, with no real speed work to speak of. That's OK though. I just want to log some miles right now.

100 MPW plus two days under 6:30 pace and a good long run seem like plenty for an early build. Nice looking week.
I notice you hit 101 on 10 runs this week. Is that normal, or do you usually do it in 11?
Or is the 11th coming when you start logging 110?
Actually, the last time I was regularly logging 100 mile weeks was two years ago. Last year it just didn't happen very often for whatever reason.
I went back and looked at my log and found that there was a period where I did 11 out of 12 weeks at 100+ miles in 2006. Of those 11 weeks, 9 of them were done with 9 runs and the other 2 were done with 10 runs. I have never run more than 10 times in a week.
One thing I try and keep in mind when I start getting near 100 miles is the average mileage per run. I try and keep that in the 10-11 mile range. If it starts to dip towards 8-9 miles, I kind of feel like I'm cheating by padding the mileage by just doing a lot of shorter runs. Probably not really the case, but it's something easy that I can monitor throughout the week to keep me honest.
